HiRes sound quality is stated as ‘up to 24-bit/192kHz’ in lossless FLAC with no mention of MQA. Searching their support pages gives only the briefest mention of MQA stating that the default playback will be FLAC if they have both FLAC and MQA source files available. With its main streaming partner sidelining the format it would seem that MQA may be destined to fade away and join SACDs, Quadraphonic sound and other initiatives that never stood the test of time.
