Telefónica launches Movistar Música in Spain a new music streaming service with more than 50 million songs in its catalogue. The service was first piloted in Latin America and comes with several subscription options. The streaming service is available both as a mobile and tablet app and also available on the Movistar Home device.
The subscription services are:
- Lite – Costing € 4.99 / month, users can choose from more than 5,000 exclusive playlists selected by musicologists. The interface have been optimised to discover new songs and artists according to their tastes or needs. It also recommends content through weekly playlists selected according to styles, moments, emotions, occasions or days indicated. The user can also download the Top 40 and up to 5 playlists each week without advertising and with unlimited skips (song jumps). In addition, it offers sections of videos, news, contests, raffles, interviews and exclusive meetings with artists.
- Premium – in addition to all the feature in Lite it also has unlimited listening and downloading of 50 million songs as well as the possibility of creating your own playlist and sharing them. Subscriptions can be either weekly at €3.34/week or monthly at €9.99/month.
- Movistar Home – users of Movistar Home can access this service for free with the ‘Stations’ mode. There are 30 new ad-free music stations that are updated daily and which include jazz, Latin, rock and more genres, themes such as gaming, children etc. Users can access these via the touch screen or by voice thanks to the built-in Aura virtual assistant.
The Movistar Música app is available on mobile for both Android and iOS devices.
