Fewer Britons are illegally downloading music

Fewer Britons are illegally downloading music according to a recent YouGov poll. YouGov’s Music Report reveals that one in ten Britons (10%) download music illegally, down from 18% five years ago. This number looks set to decrease. While 63% of those that illegally download music expect to still be doing so in five years, 22% do not. Technics Tracks download site to close

Technics Tracks, the high resolution download site has announced that it will close at the end of June 2018. Launched in 2015 to complement the Technics premium products brand it was one of the earliest high resolution download sites. The BBC has made 16,000 Sound Effects in WAV format free to download for use under the terms of the RemArc Licence. The Sound Effects are BBC copyright, but the RemArc Licence permits them to be used for personal, educational or research purposes.
