Radio Calico, the US based HiRes internet radio station goes global removing its geoblocking which previously restricted listening to the US only. In a recent announcement the station said, “…we now have dedicated apps in Google Play and the App Store that are capable of 48kHz / 24-bit HLS lossless streaming, in addition to our website player. TIDAL completes its HiRes FLAC rollout

TIDAL completes its HiRes FLAC rollout with 6 million tracks available to all users who subscribe to their HiFi Plus tier. The rollout was completed on the 2nd August 2023 and FLAC files are available on iOS, Android, and Desktop apps as well as via web browsers. TIDAL starts to rollout HiRes FLAC to its Early Access Program (EAP) users on iOS according to a recent reddit post by TIDAL CEO Jesse Dorogusker. The streamer is now offering high resolution content in FLAC format, up to 24-bit 192kHz.
