SuperStereo 6 is an Instrumental Music genre internet radio station broadcasting a 24-bit/96kHz HiRes Lossless FLAC stream. Many of the tracks are also encoded with SQ Quadraphonic Sound which was a legacy 4-channel surround system from the 1970’s. Listeners with modern day cinema sound systems should be able to take advantage of this encoding.
SuperStereo Radio Chile also broadcasts another 9 channels of music in HiRes 24-bit/96kHz Lossless FLAC. According to the station, “SuperStereo Radio Chile is the first in South America broadcasting in high resolution. SuperStereo, the station for the audiophile.”

In December 2023 SuperStereo Radio Chile added an AAC stream aimed at Macbook, iPAD and iPhone users. In January 2024 they changed their website address to www.superstereohires.com. January 2025 saw a revamp of their website and their streams were upgraded to provide compatibility with Roon and Squeezebox applications.
