Spotify subscribers were up 11% in Q4 2025, reaching 263 million according to its recently released Q4 financial results. Monthly Active Users (MAU) increased 12% to 675 million.

Key financial results in Q4 2024

  • Monthly Active Users grew 12% year on year to 675 million with net additions of 35 million which was 10 million ahead of guidance
  • Subscribers grew 11% year on year to 263 million. Net additions of 11 million were 3 million ahead of guidance.
  • Total Revenue was up 16% year on year to €4.242 Bn.
  • Gross Margin reached 32.2%.
  • Operating Income improved to €477 million.

Spotify highlights in Q4 2024

  • 10th Annual Wrapped Campaign was the biggest ever with 10% more user engagement than in 2023. The 2024 campaign included personalised data stories and playlists, a custom AI DJ Wrapped experience, Artist and Podcaster Clips and editorial playlists and insights.
  • Unveiled a new video podcast offering for Premium Subscribers in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada, giving fans the ability to watch their favourite participating podcasts uninterrupted by dynamic ads.
  • Launched Spotify for Authors, giving authors and publishers better tools, insights and data to maximize their success on Spotify.
  • Rolled-out Custom playlist covers in Beta, giving users the ability to create their own cover art for the over 8 Bn user generated playlists on Spotify.
  • Introduced Offline Backup, enabling Premium users to access tracks without an internet connection – no downloads required.
  • In 2024, Spotify alone paid out a record $10 billion in royalties to the music industry – totalling nearly $60 billion since our founding
