Spotify has launched its Spotify for Podcasters platform which at its heart is a discovery and analytics dashboard. The new platform which has come out of beta is built to empower the podcasting community allowing it to continue innovating and sharing their work with the world.

On the platform a user can both submit a show to Spotify and dive deep into engagement and demographic data for their podcast, tracking things like average listening times, episode streams, and total listeners. With so many podcasts available it is more important than ever that podcasters have the data needed to help understand and grow their audience.

Podcast data is updated daily. When you add new podcasts or episodes to Spotify, their data will show up one day later.

According to Spotify it has doubled its podcast audience since the start of 2019. The streamer has positioned itself to become both the premier producer of podcasts and the leading platform for podcast creators starting with the purchase of Gimlet at the beginning of the year.

Spotify have produced a video introduction to Spotify for Podcasters.
