SoundCloud launches Australian radio channel in a partnership with SCA to launch on web and DAB+ from the 24th August. SoundCloud Radio is SCA’s first and only station dedicated to music discovery, curated by the experts at SoundCloud.
SoundCloud Radio will give you a front-row seat to only the newest drops happening on SoundCloud so you can get to know the artists who should be on your radar right now. And with the ability to tune in via your Amazon Echo or Apple HomePod, DAB+ in your car, on radio apps like RadioApp and TuneIn, or this link, it makes finding new music easier than ever.
SoundCloud SVP of Subscriptions and Marketing, Anthony Gabriele, said: “Every month, millions of Australians already come to SoundCloud to discover what’s next in music and directly connect with creators, curators and fellow music fans on the leading edge of culture. We’re excited to partner with SCA to bring the best of SoundCloud directly to Australian audiences, and to continue to develop opportunities for emerging creators worldwide to grow their careers and expand their fan bases by introducing them to new, curious and engaged listeners.”
How artists can get involved
With millions of future fans listening from cars, clubs and home speakers across Australia, SoundCloud Radio will also give creators everywhere the opportunity to expand their reach in these territories and take their careers to the next level.
- To be considered, just tag your SoundCloud tracks with the hashtag #SoundCloudRadio.
- The SoundCloud team will be listening to all submissions and selecting their favourites to broadcast.
- Once selected, you’ll join creators like Melbourne rapper Ivan Ooze, dance/pop artist Cabu and Mount Druitt drill group ONEFOUR who are all on SoundCloud Radio’s rotation.
After you’ve pitched your music to SoundCloud Radio, you can send it everywhere else with SoundCloud’s marketing and distribution engine Repost by SoundCloud. Reach listeners on Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, Instagram and every major music service when you sign up today.
