Radio X broadcasts a diverse program from Basel in Switzerland, which is used daily by around 40,000 people via DAB+, FM, cable and worldwide via the Internet. Based in Basel, Switzerland the youth and culture broadcaster has nearly 200 volunteer broadcasters who create over 20 special programmes a week on the politics and culture of the local area. Music programming is an eclectic mix of pop music ranging from hip-hop to reggae to techno.
The station streams a CD Quality Lossless FLAC stream, a 192kbps MP3 stream and a 48kbps AAC stream in addition to the Swiss Radio Player app. There are also podcasts, music playlists and a listen again feature on their website.
