Qobuz launches new Studio HiRes streaming service for £24.99 a month with unlimited lossless HiRes streaming in 24-bit FLAC from 44.1kHz to 192kHz. Subscriptions to Qobuz Studio will be available monthly with no commitment. This brings down the cost of HiRes streaming and downloads to nearly the same cost as its competitors’ CD Quality offerings and only £5 per month more than its CD Quality HiFi subscription.
For new members, a 1 month free-trial period is available without limits and on any device. The Qobuz Studio package replaces their Sublime package and upgrades it from CD Quality to full HiRes. To subscribe go here.
Qobuz’s Sublime+ annual HiRes streaming and download offer, which offers a discount on downloads has been reduced in price from £349.99 to £299.99. For prices in Europe and the US swap the pound sign for a Euro and dollar respectively.
Yann Miossec, Qobuz Executive CEO said, “Our ambition is to make Hi-Res the reference point on the streaming market. With Studio we are responding to our users and to all the music lovers who want to join the Hi-Res world, without having to commit to an annual subscription.”
Recent subscribers to the Sublime+ offer and those who have recently renewed their subscription can also take advantage of this discount. Qobuz will be contacting these users to offer renewals with personalised discounts.
“With Sublime+, our goal is to provide the best streaming and download subscriptions at a more affordable price, all whilst maintaining high quality.” said Esther Teixeira, Chief Client Marketing Officer.
Qobuz was created and launched in France in 2007. The company is partnered with some of the biggest HiFi brands such as Sony, Chromecast, DTS Play-Fi, Sonos, Yamaha and Devialet.
