Max Radio Society is an incorporated non-profit society in the Province of British Columbia, Canada operating four internet radio stations – LG73, Max Radio, New West Rock and Uptown Radio. All four stations are available in the UHD Radio app which provides 48kbps xHE-AAc, 80kbps HE-AAC, 384kbps AAC-LC and 512kbps AAC Surround. They did have CD Quality Lossless FLAC streams in the beginning of 2023 but these have now been discontinued. This web player displays album art and ID tags and is compatible with macOS 11.x, iPadOS 14.x, iOS 14 or Android 9 or newer. You can download the app for iOS here and for Android here.
For those who want to try spatial audio in the surround streams this works on iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 (or newer) with AirPods when used via the UHD app.
The UHD app is powered by the StreamS Hi-Fi Live HLS Encoder so you may experience issues with streaming as not every device can play HLS streams.
Note: Max Radio Society streams are not available in the US due to geoblocking requirements from SoundExchange (a US rights management organization designated by the US Congress to collect and distribute digital performance royalties for sound recordings.)
