Google Play to shut Artist Hub at the end of April 2019 and is redirecting new users to YouTube for Artists. They are also suggesting they use YouTube’s preferred partners DistroKid, TuneCore and CD Baby If they would like to make their music available for purchase/download.

Google said the closure of Artist Hub won’t impact Google Play Music users and confirmed the move is part of its plan to replace Google Play Music with YouTube Music.

YouTube for Artists gives artists an ‘Official Artist Channel’ which has enhanced features over the normal YouTube channel such as an enhanced layout, ‘shelves’ with an artist’s albums and music videos, classic songs from the channel, YouTube music playlists, vlogs and promotional videos of any upcoming tours
