Deezer’s SongCatcher adds ‘humming feature’ adding the option to identify a track by just humming, singing or whistling parts of it. Users can now figure out the name of songs stuck in their heads and add it directly to their Deezer playlists. Deezer is the only music streaming service in the world with a track recognition feature that includes humming, singing and whistling as a part of its in-app search functionality.

Alexandra Leloup, VP Core Product, Deezer said, “Everyone knows how frustrating it can be to have a song stuck in their heads, and we’re very proud to be the first music streaming service in the world to give our users the opportunity to identify a track by just humming, singing or whistling it directly in the app. As we keep improving the algorithm, the feature will become faster and even more accurate when it comes to recognizing songs across our 90 million track library.”

Deezer’s SongCatcher was launched in 2018 and is used on a daily basis to identify thousands of songs around the world. The top 3 most identified songs Globally in 2022 so far are (1) Calm Down by Rema, (2) As it was by Harry Styles and (3) Hold my hand by Lady Gaga.
