Chiru is a radio stream broadcasting a mix of Anime and Japanese J-Pop music in a CD Quality lossless FLAC stream. In addition to the FLAC stream there are Opus, OGG, AAC and MP3 streams at varying qualities and unusually the ‘now playing’ banner on the site gives full details of the track including its bitrate and sampling frequency as not every track is CD Quality (16-bit, 44.1kHz). In addition to information regarding previously played tracks there is a chat function allowing listeners to interact with others. There is also a HiRes stream option presumably as a placeholder for when HiRes content becomes available.
