Lenbrook International, the developers of BluOS, have announced an agreement that will bring their high-resolution multi-room platform to Monitor Audio’s range of hifi speakers. The agreement will bring the BluOS streaming platform to upcoming products from Monitor Audio and its sister company Roksan. The technology partnership enables Monitor Audio and Roksan to enter the growing multi room streaming market.
Andrew Flatt, Monitor Audio’s Chairman and CEO stated, ‘Our development team explored all of the available options for wireless multi-room audio solutions that premier loudspeaker companies must be reviewing in this marketplace. After a full review, we’ve decided to adopt the BluOS platform. It’s purpose-built for discerning audio enthusiasts and thereby fits with our own core values. Integrating the BluOS multi-room music management experience with our own audio performance and design values will only add to the desirability and satisfaction of our products for our existing and future customers.’
BluOS, which powers the Bluesound range of multi room speakers, allows any BluOS enabled product connected to the same Wi-Fi network the facility to share music libraries and playlists. With the addition of multiple hardware partners, users will be able to choose from a variety of traditional hi-fi and modern wireless products from several brands to create a wireless whole-home audio system.
BluOS® can play stored and cloud music sources and playback high-resolution audio streams up to 24-bit/192kHz. BluOS allows for interoperability among enabled devices across brands and offer integrations to streaming services like Tidal, Spotify, Qobuz, and Deezer, as well as featuring support for FLAC, WAV, MQA, and other high-resolution formats and codecs. The BluOS control app is available for iOS and Android mobile devices and PC desktops.
