Amazon Music comes to Mexico bringing tens of millions of songs for ad-free and on-demand streaming to Mexican listeners. Both Amazon Music and Amazon Music Unlimited will be available with innovative voice features in Spanish on Amazon Echo devices with Alexa which ship to customers from mid-month. The launch comes closely on the heels of Amazon’s launch of Prime Music in Australia last month.

Amazon Music Unlimited offers more than 50 million songs featuring today’s hottest new releases, with multiple subscription options for eligible customers after a three-month free trial. The streaming service offers chart-topping releases by today’s top artists including Natalia Lafourcade, Ariana Grande, Reik, Calvin Harris, J Balvin, and Shakira, as well as an immense selection of locally-curated playlists and stations.

Amazon Music Unlimited includes a wide selection of popular and emerging artists from the region, and thousands of hand-curated playlists and stations including “Mexicanísimo,” a hand-curated playlist presenting Regional Mexicana acts; “Hecho en México,” which offers a mix of modern and classic songs by Vicente Fernández, José Alfredo Jiménez and more; “#LoQueSuena,” a playlist updated weekly with new music trending in Mexico; and “Fuego Latino,” one of the most popular global playlists on Amazon Music, highlighting today’s hottest songs in Latin music.

With Prime Music, every new and existing Amazon Prime member will automatically be able to listen to more than two million songs and hundreds of hand-curated playlists and stations for up to 40 hours of monthly playback, at no additional cost to their existing Prime membership. Listeners will now be able to choose from a variety of hand-curated playlists including “Corazón Partido,” with songs by Mon Laferte and Sin Bandera, to “Reggaetón y ya,” including hit tracks by Maluma, Nicky Jam and Daddy Yankee, and classic grupera acts on “Y Que Toque La Banda.”

“With today’s launch in Mexico, we’re bringing our customers an incredible selection of music including hand-curated global and local content created for music lovers in Mexico,” stated Federico Pedersen, Head of Music for Mexico. “Soon millions of songs will be paired with a brand-new way of listening to music through voice on Alexa, delivering a host of brand-new ways to ask for music. We can’t wait for customers to begin their listening experience with Amazon Music.”

Eligible customers who are not already Prime members can try Prime Music with a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime. For even more music, eligible customers can also sign up for a free, three-month trial of Amazon Music Unlimited for a limited time before choosing from three plan options. Customers can sign up for the Amazon Music Unlimited Individual Plan at MXN$99/month, or MXN$990/year for Prime members only; the Family Plan, which allows up to six members of a household to share a subscription for just MXN$149/month, or MXN$1,490/year for Prime members only; or the exclusive Single Device Plan, offering full access to Amazon Music Unlimited at MXN$39/month on one Echo device.
