A1 Telekom launches the A1 Xplore Music app for Austria offering over 30 million tracks and audiobooks. A1 Telekom customers will be able to stream music from Austria without any data consumption in Austria and the EU for up to 12 months.
Music streaming has recently overtaken physical CD sales in Austria – a trend that began years ago and is now transforming the entire music industry. With A1 Xplore Music, A1 Telekom now offers its customers a music streaming service which is specially tailored to the tastes of the Austrians through its own specially curated playlists. A1 Xplore Music will be available from the 1st August 2018 and will be free for 12 months on most A1 tariffs. Subsequent years will cost €8.90/month.

The A1 Xplore Music app gives access to 30 million tracks and audiobooks as well as more than 10,000 live radio stations without consuming data in Austria and within the EU. Tracks can be saved allowing offline access and WiFi connections are also enabled. The new app also has an integrated Shazam function. So, if you hear a song in the beach bar and want to take it from your holiday, the new app helps – just recognize the song with Shazam and then add it to your playlist.
