RTL+ gets entertainment upgrade making it an all-inclusive multimedia app with Deezer continuing to provide it with music streaming. The new service from RTL Germany will include TV series, reality TV, live sports, films, music, audio books and podcasts.
The package includes over 55,000 hours of video and TV entertainment, over 120 million music titles, more than 100,000 audio books and radio plays from top publishers and authors, as well as several thousand podcast formats, including around 200 successful in-house productions from RTL+. Magazine titles from Gruner + Jahr will complete the cross-media content offering in the coming weeks at a price of €12.99 per month.
In the music streaming section of the app, RTL+ subscribers will be able to access over 120 million songs thanks to the partnership with Deezer, including hits and albums by German artists such as Apache 207, Peter Fox, Sido or Helene Fischer as well as international top acts such as Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Pink or Miley Cyrus. In addition, there are thousands of curated playlists on different genres or moods as well as RTL+ playlists that can only be heard on RTL+ to match topics and content highlights in the video area. In addition, exclusive RTL+ sessions with top artists – as a video and audio offer – will provide unique live concert experiences at home and on the go.
In the podcast section of RTL+, users can access fresh episodes of top podcasts such as “Bratwurst und Baklava”, “Dick & Doof” or “Verbrechen von nebenan” free of charge and in advance of their broadcast schedule. At the end of August, one of the most successful RTL+ formats, the Bushido podcast “In Bed with Anna-Maria and Anis Ferchichi”, will return from its summer break.
There is also growth in the audiobook area with many new releases from the autumn programs of the represented publishers. Users can look forward to the audiobook for the mini-series “Club Las Piranjas” just in time for the start of the series. By redeeming a credit included in the subscription, they can also exclusively access the audiobooks “Hallo New York” and “Lux” from the Penguin Random House Publishing Group’s catalogue, which will be available on RTL+ this autumn.
