La Radio de la Mer was a French internet radio station based in Saint Nazaire, France which was part of ‘La Chaîne de La Mer’ which according to its website was, ‘an independent pure player media, bringing together an information portal, a radio and a TV, broadcasting live 24 hours a day news, sports, reports, documentaries and music videos, related to the seas and oceans, and more generally of everything that comes close to it.’
They continued, ‘The project was born from an observation of global warming, the accelerated disappearance of biodiversity and ecosystems on a planetary scale.’
The radio channel broadcast a mix of Pop, Rock Songs and Electro in CD Quality Lossless FLAC, AAC+ and MP3 streams. Their website also had a ‘TV channel’, news items and information on a wide range of maritime topics encompassing technology and the natural world. There were also links to their social media, a listen again feature and programme information.
