440Hz Radio is an internet radio station broadcasting an eclectic range of pop hits from the 60s to the current day including electronic music mix sets. It used to offer a CD Quality Lossless FLAC stream but now it only has a 256kbps MP3, a 192kbps AAC and a 56kbps Opus stream. The station has been around in one form or another since 2013 and is named after the frequency of the concert A used in tuning the instruments of an orchestra to the same pitch. This is sometimes referred to as ‘the best tone’ which has given the station its slogan – Always the best tone.
